Project goals
This team is responsible for software architecture and overall firmware development (real-time operating system, watchdogs, Comstack, etc.). They must define the APIs and design the connection (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) between the different modules.
To improve the user experience and enable monitoring of the prosthesis, a cross-platform mobile application is being developed. This application will also enable rapid calibration of the EMG and EEG to best suit the patient.
The software team is also responsible for computer vision and research into haptic feedback.
📊 Software/Firmware Engineer: Architecture
Responsibilities:
- Architect the complete software framework for the prosthesis
- Develop the communication stack and create APIs that integrate the different systems
- Integrate EMG, EEG, and Computer Vision data streams with the prosthesis control board
- Take user safety into account and work with the QMS
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and develop comprehensive unit tests
Nice To Have:
- Embedded C/C++ experience (Arduino, ESP32, STM32)
- Real-time systems knowledge (FreeRTOS, interrupts, DMA)
- Experience with integrated hardware-software system architectures
